Porąbka-Żar Power Plant

Modernization of the Porąbka-Żar pumped-storage power plant.

The project encompasses comprehensive modernization aimed at increasing efficiency and extending its operational life, where the scope of work includes, among others, replacement of turbine units, modernization of the upper reservoir and 220 kV switchgear.

Within the project implementation, the scope of work includes, among others:

• delivery and installation of MV transformers 31.5/6.3 kV 4000 kVA,
• delivery and installation of MV transformers 6/0.4 kV 1000 kVA,
• delivery and installation of MV switchgear 30 kV,
• delivery and installation of 6 kV switchgear,
• delivery and installation of LV switchgear,
• modernization of existing MV switchgear,
• replacement of cable routes for 220 kV cables,
• replacement of cable routes within the modernization of hydro units HZ1 – HZ4,
• delivery and installation of MV power cabling,
• restoration and execution of new LV power and control cabling for auxiliary power supply systems,
• modernization of equipment and power supply systems for general service systems,
• delivery, installation, commissioning, measurements of basic and emergency lighting installations,
• execution of new grounding, lightning protection, and equipotential bonding installations,
• delivery, installation, connection of socket outlet and maintenance installations,
• modernization of energy metering system,
• dismantling of electrical installations of the power output system,
• installation of busbar systems for power output,
• installation of generator circuit breakers, excitation system, electrical protection cabinets for the unit,
• post-installation measurements,
• commissioning of all delivered/modernized installations.
